What we collect
Only what's needed to host you, and almost all of it is entered by you on your own guest page:
- Who you are — name, email address, mobile number if you give one, date of birth, and whether the traveller is a child.
- What you need — dietary preferences, allergies, whether you drink coffee, and any note you add.
- Your plans — dates, arrival and departure times, how you're travelling, anything you ask us to have ready (a cot, a charger), and any grocery requests.
- What you tell us — messages you send through your guest page or by text, and answers to the short survey we may send after a stay.
- A record of access — that you opened your guest page, and when, so we know an invitation arrived.
A lead guest can enter details for people travelling with them, including children in their care. We collect nothing directly from children, and we ask nothing of anyone under 18.
We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. The guest site sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in.
Why we hold it
To plan and host your stay, to reach you about it, and — if you come back — so you don't have to tell us the same things twice.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone's marketing. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
It is seen by the adults of the household, and it passes through the services we use to run things:
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, encrypted backups, and text message delivery.
- Google — email delivery, and the household's private calendar. Your name and dates appear on that calendar so the family knows who is coming and when.
We would also disclose information if the law required it. Nothing else.
Text messages
If you opt in, we use your mobile number only for messages about your stay. Full detail is on the guest messaging page and in our messaging terms. Reply STOP at any time.
How long we keep it
While you're our guest, and afterwards so we remember your preferences next time. Ask us to remove it and we will, apart from anything we have to keep for our records.
Your choices
Email support@thekoellerchiangs.com to see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted. You can edit most of it yourself on your guest page at any time. Opting out of texts, or of anything else, never affects your welcome.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the guest site is reachable only through a private link sent to you, and access is limited to the household.
